Christmas Day

The calm before the storm. 

The big reveal. 

Santa gave them matching Frozen nightgowns in their stockings. 

Peyton got the glass slippers she asked for but she couldn't wear them with her footie pajamas so she got rid of the pajamas. 

Wearing their new stuff.  (Santa's elves were actually able to make an Ariel barbie that sings and changes from a mermaid to a human.  Just like Berkley asked for.  Lucky Berkley!)

Peyton is special.

Zack had his GoPro set up on a time lapse again this year but he hasn't finished putting the video together yet.  When he does I'll add it here.

The Christmas Season

We had a lot of fun over the holidays.  

Picking out a Christmas tree.  We usually tend to go with a tall skinny tree for our vaulted ceilings but Berkley really wanted a full, fat one.  She declared this one the "perfect tree ever."

Of course they had to wear their tree shirts while tree shopping.

Our December was so unusually warm.  Zack put up Christmas lights in shorts on a sunny 60 degree day. 

Deja vu while getting out decorations.  Her big sister did the same thing with the stockings two years ago.

We went to a live nativity one night.  It was pretty neat.  Here's the camel. 

The girls loved looking at baby Jesus. 

We had some exhausted children by the end of the night. 

The best part of our primary singing at the ward Christmas party was Keeden's batman mask. 

Santa showed up at our ward party.  Zack wasn't quick enough to get a picture of Berkley but here's one of Peyton. 

We heard the real Santa was at Station Park so we went to see him.  Berkley loved that Mrs. Claus was there because she's the queen of the North Pole.  Berkley asked Santa for an Ariel barbie that sings and can change from a mermaid to a human.  Peyton asked for glass slippers. 

Berkley's holiday preschool program was pretty great. 

She got to be a reindeer. 

And an elf. 

 

But she was most excited about being Mary in the nativity.

Peyton really wanted to get a 'trophy' for her Dad for Christmas.  While we were shopping at Ross she pointed at this goblet and said, "There's the trophy for Dad!"

Grandma Lisa made the girls matching skirts this year instead of dresses. 

The girls loved seeing Sparkle the elf in a different spot every day. 

We went to Ogden's Christmas Village.  It was a first time ever for me and the girls.  It was fun to see all the displays.
