Here's the little munchkin with her monkey at 8 months.
-Teething. A nightmarish experience for both of us. The day after she turned 7 months she seemed fine. We put her to bed and she woke up coughing a couple hours later because her nose was so stuffy. We sucked it out with the booger sucker (causing her to scream bloody murder) and put her back to bed. This proceeded to happen just about every two hours throughout the night. We thought she was sick and we were trying to think of where she could've picked it up. The next day it dawned on me that a runny nose is a symptom of teething. So I felt around and sure enough, a little bottom tooth was trying to poke through. It came in super quick. Not too long after that, tooth number two started coming in but it still hasn't poked through. It's taking a lot longer but it will get here I'm sure. That first night was the worst. Since then it hasn't been so bad, I just feel bad for her.
I may have let her gnaw on a cucumber for relief.
I don't know if you can tell but her face and clothes are soaking wet. So much drool.

I liked this sleeping position. Just chillin.
The day she turned 8 months old I found her napping like this. I was super surprised because she hates being on her tummy! She slept really well though so we'll see what happens.
I had to take a picture of her marked face and little red cheek after she woke up. I'm such a mom.
-Hair. Her hair seems to have grown quite a bit this month. You can see it pretty well in this bath picture.
-Clapping. She started clapping this month and is now a master clapper.
-Making noise. She loves to speak jibberish. Her favorite word right now is "bob" or "bop." She likes to make noise while she moves her lips with her fingers. She likes to hear her voice while she bounces. She likes to make noise while blowing bubbles in water. And she's really good at making the horse noise (when you put your lips together and blow.)
-Eating. She'll eat just about anything and if she really likes it she'll growl a lot and yell "Mmmmm!" when you give her a bite.
-When she's excited she rocks back and forth and opens and closes her hands repeatedly.
-She'll look at someone and then tilt her head way to the side. It's really cute but I haven't been able to get a picture of it.
-She wants to be able to move. If something is out of reach when she's sitting, she'll lunge for it and end up on her tummy but then she's stuck. This is probably the first step toward crawling (which I'm not thrilled about.)
-She really likes to stand up (with assistance of course.)
