2 Years

Peyton turned two on March 27th.  It's so crazy to me that my baby is two.  She is so fun, silly, smart, daring, trusting, and strong-willed. Sometimes I think we should've named her Echo because she copies everything her big sister says or does.

Here are some pictures and videos from the past few months.

Trying to participate in Berkley's dance class.

I think she was born a girly girl.  She loves to accessorize. Jewelry, hats, shoes, you name it.  In fact she'll ask me to do her hair (put a "brave" in it) and then insists on having a bow.
Her first pigtail braids.  This girl has more hair than most 3 year olds I know.
Exercising with Mom.  She's pretty good at downward dog.
Just reading.  She's developed a love for books.  Her favorite are these tiny sesame street board books we have.  She's usually carrying one or two around with her.
She's afraid of the car wash.

I was surprised when she fell asleep at Target.  She usually doesn't fall asleep anywhere other than her crib and it wasn't even nap time yet.
I'm trying to brainwash her but we all know she likes her Dad the best.
She likes to sing and makes up songs often.  She was singing this "I like meat" song at the table that I thought was funny.  When I started recording she wanted to sing the abc's instead but finishes up with a little "I like meat."

I took a bunch of pictures of her on her birthday (because that's what I do.)  She's wearing her favorite purple dress.  She wants to wear it every day.  If it's dirty she has a little meltdown and settles for a less fancy dress... but always a dress.

Of course she had a scratched up chin.

A view of the favorite dress.

I love this cross-eyed kiss blowing picture.

A little birthday interview.  When somebody asks her a question she always quickly says "no" (meaning "I don't know") and then thinks and answers the question.

And a little confused counting.

Winter

Here's our conglomeration of pictures from the Winter that didn't fit into other posts.

I love to make them match.  I couldn't tell if these shirts were for Christmas or Valentine's Day.  Perhaps both?
Berkley put a doll dress on her head and started calling herself Chef Berkley.
When Grandma Leann gave Berkley this outfit she said, "That's perfect to wear to the zoo!"
Doing cool tricks on her new bike.
Making dreidls at the library for story time.
We made my cousin Claire a beautiful wedding dress at her bridal shower.
Then I was the 3rd wheel to these guys at her wedding.
My Grandparents danced and it was adorable.
The teacher/neighborhood gifts I made.
Berkley wanted pictures with this ornament.

She set up her animals for a photo shoot of their own.
Playing rocketship.

Some pictures in their pretty dresses.

Window stickies.

While we were talking to Carson on Christmas Day, Berkley thought it would be a good time to sneak away and use the fingernail polish she got in her stocking.
At least she put a kleenex underneath.
Dad's gloves.
Berkley started wearing sleeping hats.

In the bath.  (This picture won't rotate.)

A little accident with monkey.
Pizza Pie Cafe.
Kramer got in on our birthday festivities.  In fact, my book club friends took Kramer and  George on lots of adventures this Winter.
Peyton tried to participate in Berkley's dance class.

Peyton helped Zack tear out my parents' kitchen in January.

These blurry phone pictures don't even do it justice.  It really turned out beautiful.

Stickers at In N Out.
Zack let his hair grow starting in October.  This is how long it was before he cut it for a job interview in February.  He kept the beard though.
It wasn't even nap time yet.  I guess target isn't as entertaining for one year-olds as it is for moms.
 Showing off her tat.
It was warm enough for a family bike ride in February.

Naked reading is the best kind of reading.
Walking home from school.  Also in February.  The weather was so nice.
A Madbrook treat for being good at the dentist.
Peyton had to get a picture with hers too.
Amy introduced me to the fabulousness of gel nails.  We ended up having a couple Morby family nail dates.
Berkley's favorite shoes ever.  Always paired with patterned socks.
