The Ogden, Utah LDS temple was originally dedicated in 1972. It looked like this.
They basically tore down the whole thing and rebuilt it. Now it looks like this.
Before it was dedicated I took the girls and went through the open house with my family. It's a really beautiful building. Berkley's favorite part was the sparkly lights (in the Celestial room.) Peyton's favorite part was seeing the rooms. (I think she liked the sealing rooms.)
I couldn't keep the girls out of the water. Apparently Berkley was washing her face in it...

Morby Family Pictures
Since the whole Morby clan was together in San Diego, we thought it was a good opportunity to have pictures taken. Zack's cousin Andrea is an excellent photographer. She came to Kade's wedding so we used the time between the ceremony and the luncheon to quickly snap some pictures. The girls weren't super cooperative and the wind wasn't either but Andrea was able to work her photog magic and still get some good shots. It worked out really well.
The last three times we've done family pictures with the Morbys I've either been pregnant or 3 weeks post-partum. This time I was 12 weeks along.
Andrea told Berkley to put her hand on her hip and she gave this sassy pose. Peyton followed right along.

Temple Lights
We went on our annual outing with the Morby family to see the lights at Temple Square in December. It was cold but beautiful, and pretty crowded as per usual.
Berkley decided that Amy was her favorite that day. It might have been the matching cheetah-print scarves.
I loved the look of the moon behind the clouds.
Berkley had to jump in on this one.

Thanksgiving
We drove to Arizona again for Thanksgiving this year with the Morby family (minus Mitch and Amy and, of course, Carson.) We love going down for the warm weather. This year we stopped in Las Vegas for a couple nights on the way down. On Sunday we went up to the temple to walk around.
Rylee bravely lent her camera to this little photographer.
Berkley had a meltdown.
I love her faces.
Zack said, "Put your arms out and start spinning." Berkley put her arms out and started spitting.
This was Zack's 5th(?) time in Vegas and the first time the fountains were actually going.
Hotel livin'.
On our way out of Vegas, we stopped to check out the Hoover Dam.
The dam.
The dam bridge.
Muno was in the water.
The dam from the bridge.
We had to swim once we were there. Berkley wouldn't have it any other way.
We went to do some temple work in Mesa but the temple had closed early so we went to the visitor's center and walked around the grounds.
Parker.
The girls could have run up and down this ramp all day. It made me so nervous watching them.
We visited Zack's Aunt Kris and her kids who we haven't seen in years. We got to meet Merlin, their 80 year-old tortoise.
We spent Thanksgiving Day at Grandma and Grandpa Schvaneveldt's house. The men spent the morning golfing as per tradition.
We chased these little guys all over the golf course. They are fast!
Rylee made this amazing fruit turkey. All the food was delicious.
The things Berkley is grateful for: Mom, Dad, Berkl, Ey, Hallo, Ween, Bunn, Y, I (heart) U, Naps, Sleep.
The men watched the girls on Black Friday while the ladies shopped.
The house we rented was perfect. There were parks, pools, etc. in the neighborhood and they had these fun bikes for us to ride.
Friday evening we met Uncle Doug and Aunt Carola at the Mesa temple lights.
They do a really great job with the lights.
I love the citrus trees.
Ready to drive home.
Until next time AZ.
