Memorial Day/Bear Lake

Holidays are for eating at our house.  Drew and Lisa came over for some of Zack's BBQ.  The weather was beautiful and the food was delicious. (Side note: This was also the day we found out we were pregnant again.)

The girls got to play with Grandma.

Later that afternoon I took the girls up to Bear Lake for a little getaway.  Misty had rented a condo for her birthday.  All her friends went home on Monday so we went up to hang out with her for a night. 

We spent all morning playing at the park on Tuesday. 

I thought this was hilarious.  They didn't. 

In the afternoon it warmed up to 80 degrees.  The weather was perfect and everyone had gone home so we got the pool to ourselves.  We had a blast and Peyton even went down the big waterslide by herself.  Twice.  Can you tell it was the first time our skin had seen the sun this year?

Berkley's Birthday Dinner

Berkley turned 4 on January 21st.  I feel like we celebrated for an entire week.  The Saturday before her birthday, Mitch and Amy took her (and Peyton) to Build-a-Bear.  They were in heaven and ended up with some amazing pink princess animals.  Berkley will describe the whole process of making the animals.  Peyton's is named Care Bear Vair and Berkley's is named Care Cat Bear.

The Sunday before her birthday we had family over for a little celebration.  Zack smoked a couple chickens which turned out delicious. 

 I got out the old *NSYNC bag for the occasion. 

She wanted a colorful cake with purple frosting so we made a jello poke cake and the girls helped with the decorating. 

 She wished that she could be a princess and a mermaid.

Fall

All the pictures I took this Fall that didn't fit into other posts.

but it happened again here. 

Zack spent most of his free time this summer (as well as lots of other family members) working on Parker and Rylee's house.  They bought an old home in Logan and completely gutted it and redid everything.  They were able to move in this Fall and it turned out great.  The girls even got to go up and help a couple of times.  This is Peyton installing cabinets. 

"Look Mom, it's a circle with a dot in it.  That means it's target!"  Do I shop too much?

I went on a sister date with Misty to see Florida-Georgia Line, Thompson Square, and Luke Bryan.  The people watching was almost better than the actual entertainment. 

While I was at the concert, the girls went on a date with Daddy.

 We had to buy some Brigham City peaches.  I froze a bunch for smoothies and made some freezer jam. 

Our raspberries did really well throughout September/October but rarely made it into the house.  This little girl shoves them in her mouth as fast as possible.

Our green beans were really late bloomers but once they got going they didn't stop.

I bought myself some fun new frames.  Zenni Optical is my new favorite. 

I didn't prepare a family night treat so Zack whipped up a caramel sauce to dip apples in. 

Berkley was in her first primary program.  She did great.  Now it's 4 months later and she still remembers her part: "Some of the commandments the prophets have given us are to pay our tithing and follow the Word of Wisdom.  When we do this we are blessed."

Walking home from preschool.  "My breath is out.  I need to rest."

I got my hair did. 

Our first snow came the beginning of November.  Berkley had been wanting to do snow angels since May so she was excited. 

We found an app that puts makeup on you.  Berkley loved taking pictures of everyone and putting crazy makeup on them. 

My last harvest.  This was our first year doing potatoes and it was a big success. 

She is special.
