At the beginning of February we went to San Diego with my family. It was a last family vacation with everyone before Merrisa left on her mission. We had a lot of fun, ate a lot of yummy food, and even got to see Devin and Andrea's family.
It was the girls' first time on an airplane and they did great. Berkley thought it was a blast. Peyton just flirted with everyone until she was tired enough to fall asleep in my lap (which was a miracle.)
At the condo in Oceanside, Berkley liked playing at the park and walking to the beach to watch the surfers.
Temple
We spent the first day going to the temple. The San Diego temple has always been my favorite. It is so gorgeous.
Merrisa made it to several temples before her mission. 8, I think. The plan was to also go to the Newport temple but it happened to be closed for cleaning that week.
I loved being in the temple with my sis!
Later that day we walked to the Oceanside harbor (right by our condo) to explore and have some fish n' chips.
We watched the Superbowl together in the condo and had our own little party. Pizza, wings, popcorn, chips, etc. We even found some new sodas to try.
Sea World

I think Berkley's favorite thing at Seaworld was riding the little rides.
We rode them in the morning and then we went back in the evening and rode them until the park closed.
Unfortunately the big Manta coaster was closed for repairs. Apparently it's one of the top 5 rollercoasters in the world.
Of course we saw all the shows.

Poor Peyt was pretty nap-deprived. We had to keep taking her out of her stroller for every show/exhibit.

It was chillier than expected while we were there. We brought a bunch of shorts and sandals and ended up wearing pants and jackets everywhere. Merrisa was the only one who would brave the mediocre weather to take Berkley swimming.
The San Diego Zoo
We saw the baby panda. Berkley was more interested in holding a leaf or stick the whole time.

This is probably my favorite picture. Peyton was totally content to just lay under the elephant's foot.
She was not as content to sit on this saber tooth.
Apparently, birds this size used to exist. Freaky.

Bus tour
We ended our trip by walking the Oceanside pier and eating some delicious Thai food. Then Peyton screamed the entire plane ride home.
My Dad is such a good poser. He could be on the Bachelor with these poses.
There were some cool birds on the pier. This pelican wasn't shy at all.
