This summer flew by so fast I couldn't believe it. And neither could Berkley. As I was folding laundry after our Labor Day trip she saw her swimsuit and this conversation ensued.
B: "Are we going swimming?!"
Me: "No, it's not warm enough to go swimming anymore."
B: "Oh. Can we go to the splash pad?"
Me: "No, the splash pad is closed now."
B: "But the splash pad is open. If the splash pad is open can we go there?"
Me: "No, the splash pad is closed till next summer."
B: "Oh. Ok. Can we go to Bear Lake?"
Me: "We can go to Bear Lake again next summer."
B: "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!"
Birthday lunch for Misty at Cafe Zupa's.
We did some boating on Willard Bay.
The girls spent quite a bit of time in the new (used) jogging stroller I got off of ksl. (Peyton looks so tiny!)
Leah and me with our babies at Logan Whitehead's gorgeous wedding luncheon in the mountains. (I was also able to go to my cousin Tristan's wedding and we went to the beautiful wedding dinner at La Cailles afterward. With no children. It was nice.)

Zack ran a "5k." He walked part of the way and finished in like 20 minutes while pushing a double stroller and he hadn't trained at all so we don't think the distance was quite accurate but he and the girls had fun anyway.
We watched fireworks. They went to the Weber State ones while I worked and we all watched the Mueller Park ones from my parents yard.
We did LOTS of yardwork. (I think our garden deserves its own post.)
I had my first (and hopefully last) root canal.

Berkley did get to go to the splash pad a few times. She got a little braver each time. I thought she was so cute with this little friend she found. They even had matching suits!
Berkley asks to sit in this elmo car every time we go to the store but she won't let me turn it on.

Zack finally won this year with his BBQ green beans. They were delicious.

We went swimming with some new friends. Little Jane is so darling.

We started a 'food night' with some friends and hosted Mexican night to kick it off so I picked up some local tamales.
Since then we've had Asian night as well and Zack bought this dragonfruit for the occasion.
We had a fun date night to President Monson's 80th birthday celebration with some friends. (No pictures of that one but it's worth mentioning.)
The girls are learning to love each other.

Berkley made a habit of taking her naps under the bed.
I got to go through the Salt Lake temple with my cute friend who is going on a mission. I hadn't been through that temple for several years. It was such a beautiful day.
Instead of napping she was layering her sweaters. How could I be mad at this face though?
