The Fourth

The Fourth of July happens to be my husband's favorite holiday.  I asked him what he wanted to do and he replied, "Grill and chill.  I like to cook and I like to feed people."  So that's what we did.  My family was coming home from New York that evening so we just had Zack's family over.

Zack made his signature smoked ribs which were delicious as usual.  The show stealer, however, was the chicken satay skewers with peanut sauce.  They were AH-mazing!

We didn't watch fireworks that night because I had to work 7-11pm but the drive home was pretty spectacular.  Fireworks going off in all directions.
 

Parker and Rylee

They got married! (On May 18th.  But I was waiting for pictures from the photographer because I wanted to include some family ones.)

We are so excited that Parker is officially a part of the family.  Mostly because he can weld. ;)  No really though.  I think he has taken over the position of favorite uncle in Berkley's book and he already adores Peyton.  

They were sealed in the Oquirrh Mountain temple and happened to choose the only rainy day of the month.  Luckily it cleared up for pictures and the outdoor reception at the barn.  It was picture perfect and they looked so happy.  

Just married!

Berkley immediately ran up to Rylee and gave her a hug.  (Rylee might be her favorite person.)

Carson was there in spirit... and cardboard.



The best part of the temple for Berkley was the fountain.  She couldn't stay away from it.

I had kind of forgotten how good s'mores are.

Berkley got her own little bouquet to match Rylee's.

This little lady was only a month and a half old.

This little girl just went around begging for food.  She probably consumed half a bag of marshmallows. 

I'll tell you one thing.  These two are going to have some skinny, blue-eyed kids someday!  Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Dahl!
