Sisters

I love my girls.  I think they're adorable.  However, it seems like everyone who has had a second child recently says things like, "She is SO sweet to her younger sister."  "It's so fun to watch them together."  "The baby just adores his big brother."  I don't feel that way yet.  I actually have a lot of anxiety when Berkley interacts with Peyton.  She loves her little sister but she doesn't understand how small and defenseless babies are.  Berkley is always right on top of Peyton, practically smothering her, yelling in her face, putting plastic food in her mouth because she's hungry, trying to give her 'underdogs' in the baby swing, etc.  I'm constantly telling her to be quiet, be soft, don't get so close, don't try to jump over her, etc.  And Peyton doesn't love her sister quite yet, Berkley usually wakes her up and makes her cry.

That being said, I'm sure it will get better.  I'm sure that when Peyton gets a little bigger, Berkley will be the one who makes her laugh the most and they'll love playing together.  It just hasn't happened yet.

Morby Family Pictures

It had been a while since we did family pictures with the Morby family, (I was pregnant with Berkley) so Lisa decided it was time.  She wanted all of the family members in the pictures though, meaning we needed to do them after Peyton was born (March 27th) and before Carson left on his mission (April 25th.)  So here they are.  Peyton is a little over 3 weeks old.  Zack's awesome Aunt Jenifer took them at the barn that Rylee and Parker chose for their wedding reception.

I think they turned out pretty cute.  Afterward we went to dinner at The Argentine Corner in Clearfield so we could try some native Argentine food in celebration of Carson going to Argentina.

Mother's Day

Is it bad that I love being spoiled on Mother's Day?  I love that I can not do any cooking, cleaning, etc. and not feel guilty about it.  The only gift I asked for this year was to make a mural of all of our hand prints and frame it and put it on the wall.  I didn't get it.  But Berkley got me this little beauty:

And Peyton got me a cover for it.  I've been wanting an e-reader for what seems like forever and I am in love with it.  Seriously, how did they know?

Not only that but Zack put some doors on our entertainment center for me and then brought home a new mantle for our living room!  I am one spoiled girl.  The only question is, how do I top that for Father's Day?  Maybe I just won't even try...

One of my favorite things about Mother's Day is watching the primary children sing.  Being in the primary presidency, those kids have a special place in my heart.  It was also this little lady's first time to church for the full 3 hours.
